S.C. Power Company Pvt. Ltd. was incorporated on 2063/05/20 B.S. (September 5, 2006) under the laws of Nepal (Company Registration No. 41031/063/064, PAN: 302484080). Established to pioneer large-scale renewable energy infrastructure, the company is developing the 440 MW Tila-1 Peaking Run-of-River Hydropower Project in Kalikot.

Tila-1 Hydropower Project (440 MW)
The Tila-1 Hydropower Project is a Peaking Run-of-River (PRoR) development situated along the Tila River in Kalikot District, Karnali Province. The project area is directly accessible via the Karnali Highway, providing dependable all-weather heavy logistical transport for electromechanical and civil plant equipment.
The civil scheme comprises a 69-meter high gated concrete gravity dam with seven spillway bays, underground desilting chambers engineered to extract quartz sediments, a 13.77 km headrace tunnel excavated via six strategic adits, and an underground powerhouse cavern (120.5 m × 18.5 m) accommodating four vertical-axis Francis turbines.
Designed for optimal peaking flexibility, Tila-1 operates with 6 hours of daily peak capacity, supplying essential stability and reserve power to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) grid network.
